Sales Associates - Immediate Start
Birmingham City Centre | Full Time | On Site | Monday to Friday | 10:00am to 6:00pm
£400 guaranteed base pay per week, plus £40 to £100 commission per completed sale
Sage is hiring Sales Associates to join our Birmingham team immediately. Unlike many entry level sales opportunities, this is not a commission only position. You will receive guaranteed weekly base pay alongside strong performance based incentives, giving you financial stability while still being rewarded directly for the results you achieve.
Average total earnings within this role range from approximately £600 to £1,000 per week, depending on individual performance. You will represent recognised national brands including E.ON, Mercedes and EE or BT, gaining practical sales experience through real customer conversations across Birmingham and the wider West Midlands.
About Sage
Sage specialises in face to face marketing and customer acquisition. We work with established brands that want to increase awareness, reach new customers and strengthen their presence within targeted markets.
Our campaigns are delivered by trained sales teams who speak directly with customers, explain products and services clearly and provide a professional experience on behalf of each client.
We invest heavily in practical coaching. New starters receive structured training, regular feedback and daily support from experienced team leaders, rather than being expected to understand the role immediately.
The Role
As a Sales Associate, you will work on live customer acquisition campaigns representing one of our major clients.
This is a people focused position suited to someone who enjoys conversation, responds well to targets and wants to develop practical experience in sales, communication and business development.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
