Sales & Business Development Executive
Elephant Leadership Camps
Home-based | Flexible hours | Flexible reward package
The opportunity
Elephant Leadership Camps is a young, ambitious leadership development business with a highly distinctive approach to developing leadership skills.
Our three-day residential Camps bring together leaders from different organisations, backgrounds, and levels of seniority for an immersive experience built around practical leadership challenges, expert coaching, honest feedback, and self-awareness.
We're up and running, gaining market traction, and, importantly, attracting valuable repeat clients. We're now looking for a Sales & Business Development Executive to help accelerate that growth.
The role
This is primarily a new business development role.
You'll identify target organisations, find the right decision-makers, and create commercial conversations through a combination of:
- Telephone prospecting and cold calling
- LinkedIn and targeted email outreach
- Networking and referrals
- Exhibitions, conferences, and business events
- Partnerships and professional networks
- Intelligent follow-up and pipeline development
You'll typically be speaking with HR Directors, People and L&D leaders, Talent leaders, budget holders, and decision-makers. You may also be talking directly to potential Camp delegates.
Experience selling to HR/People leaders would therefore be particularly useful, and a successful recruitment background or experience in selling training or HR events could be an excellent fit.
A strong proposition to sell
We're not asking somebody to sell an untested idea.
Elephant Leadership Camps is already operating, clients are returning, and we have a product we're enormously confident in. And our salesperson has an unusual additional weapon.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
If a high-quality prospective client isn't yet prepared to buy, our TrailBlazer programme allows us, selectively, to waive the Camp fee for their first delegate, altogether. A far more powerful proposition than going for just a 10% or 20% discount.
The person
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate previous success in proactive B2B sales and cold lead generation. This will probably be someone's second significant sales role. They may have come from recruitment, HR services, training, or another B2B environment where they've already learned how to generate opportunities from cold.
You'll need to be comfortable picking up the phone, using LinkedIn intelligently, attending events, developing relationships, and working a prospect over time.
You'll also need to be:
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently
- Resilient and enthusiastic about creating business from scratch
- Organised and disciplined about follow-up
- Comfortable working to clear activity, pipeline, and revenue targets
- Happy for sales activity and results to be visible and auditable
- Commercially ambitious and genuinely motivated by success
Above all, we want someone who cares. We're a small company, and we're extremely excited about what we're building. That enthusiasm needs to be shared by everyone who joins us.
Highly flexible working
The role is home-based and can be highly flexible.
It doesn't necessarily need to be full-time, and we're open-minded about how many hours or days a week the right person wants to work.

It could therefore suit an experienced salesperson wanting a serious new role but one that fits around family or other commitments. But it may just as well work for somebody looking for a more conventional working pattern.
In return for that flexibility, we'll agree on clear expectations and targets, and activity must be properly recorded and auditable.
Experience the product
You can't sell Elephant Leadership Camps properly without understanding what happens there.
The successful candidate will therefore attend one of our Autumn Elephant Leadership Camps as our guest, free of charge, as an important part of their product learning.
We want you to sell something you've actually experienced and believe in.
A package built around the right person
We're deliberately not prescribing a rigid remuneration package.
Different people are motivated by different things, and the structure can reflect both the individual's preferred working commitment and what genuinely incentivises them.
That gives us flexibility around:
- Hours worked
- Basic salary
- Immediate sales commission
- Annual performance bonus
- Longer-term incentives
We'll agree on the right combination with the successful candidate.
What really matters
We're looking for someone who has already demonstrated that they can find opportunities, open doors, and create business from nothing.
We can teach you everything you need to know about Elephant Leadership Camps.
What we're looking for is the sales instinct, independence, energy, and hunger to help us build it.
