Sales / Business Development Executive (Events)

Location: Hertford, Hertfordshire.
Hybrid, 2 days from home each week
Salary: £26,000 to £30,000 basic, plus uncapped commission. Realistic OTE £50,000+
Type: Permanent, full time

The company Forum Events has been building serious business connections for close to 30 years. Based in Hertford, they run high impact face to face Forums and Summits that bring procurement professionals and industry suppliers into the same room at the right moment.

It is a fast paced, sociable sales floor with a genuine focus on career growth. People stay because they enjoy it, and because the earning potential is real.

The Role

You will take full ownership of two to three major B2B events a year, along with the media, newsletter and digital platforms that sit alongside them. This is a proper 360 commercial role. You own the pipeline, the client relationships, the revenue and the onsite delivery.

It suits someone who wants autonomy rather than a script, and who wants their income to reflect what they bring in.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
