Sales & Business Development Support Executive

£14.00-£16.00 per hour, depending on experience

The opportunity
Treatment4Water Ltd is looking for a proactive and commercially minded person to join our growing team in a newly created Sales & Business Development Support role.
Your initial focus will be helping us grow our customer base by researching potential new customers, identifying the right people to contact and finding new sales opportunities.
This is not simply an administrative role.
We are looking for someone who wants to develop their commercial skills and take on more responsibility over time. As your knowledge and confidence grow, we would like you to progress into contacting prospects directly, following up opportunities and managing a portfolio of smaller customer accounts.
You will also get involved with our marketing and social media activity, including gathering customer testimonials, creating content and helping us promote the business through LinkedIn and other channels.
What you'll be doing
- Researching and identifying prospective new customers
- Finding relevant decision-makers and contact information
- Building targeted prospect lists for our Sales & Business Development team
- Researching companies to identify potential sales opportunities
- Maintaining accurate prospect and customer information within our CRM
- Supporting lead-generation and prospecting campaigns
- Helping with follow-up activity and smaller customer accounts
- Gathering customer testimonials and case studies
- Supporting our LinkedIn and social media activity
- Helping create and schedule sales and marketing content

As the role develops, we would like you to become increasingly involved in direct contact with prospective customers, initially through email and LinkedIn and progressing to telephone contact and relationship building.
Ultimately, there is the opportunity to manage your own customer accounts and generate and develop your own new-business opportunities.
Who we're looking for
You don't need previous water treatment experience - we'll provide the necessary industry and product training.
We're more interested in finding someone who is:
- Proactive, enthusiastic and commercially minded
- Good at researching companies and finding information online
- Confident using LinkedIn and social media
- Organised with excellent attention to detail
- A good written and verbal communicator
- Comfortable speaking with customers and willing to develop their sales skills
- Confident using Microsoft Office and learning CRM systems
- Able to work independently and use their own initiative
- Interested in developing a career in B2B sales and business development

Previous experience in sales, lead generation, business development, marketing or customer service would be advantageous but isn't essential.
About Treatment4Water
Treatment4Water Ltd is an independent UK manufacturer and supplier of specialist water treatment and water hygiene chemicals.
We supply water treatment companies, facilities management providers and other businesses operating within the industrial water treatment sector.
We're a growing business with a small, friendly team, and this is a new position that the successful candidate will have the opportunity to help shape.
Hours & salary
20 hours per week, with some flexibility around how the hours are worked.
£14.00-£16.00 per hour, depending on experience.
For the right person, there is genuine potential for the role to increase in hours and ultimately develop into a full-time Sales & Business Development position.
