FillSpace is a fast-growing logistics technology start-up building a smarter marketplace for unused transport capacity across Europe and the UK.
We are looking for an experienced Chief Legal Officer to join our founding team and take ownership of the company’s legal and compliance framework from the ground up.
The Role
As our CLO, you will work directly with the founders to ensure that FillSpace operates within the complex legal frameworks governing cross-border logistics, transport marketplaces and international trade.
You will help us identify risks, build a strong compliance infrastructure and prepare the company for European expansion, partnerships and investment.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on EU and UK transport, logistics and cross-border trade regulations
- Develop the legal framework for our digital marketplace
- Draft and review customer terms, carrier agreements, partnership contracts and NDAs
- Support customs, data protection, insurance and regulatory compliance
- Manage corporate governance and shareholder documentation
- Protect FillSpace’s intellectual property and commercial interests
- Identify legal risks and develop practical mitigation strategies
- Support fundraising, investor due diligence and international expansion

Who We’re Looking For
- A qualified legal professional with relevant EU and UK experience
- Strong knowledge of logistics, road freight, transport, supply chain or international trade law
- Experience drafting commercial agreements and compliance policies
- Understanding of GDPR, digital platforms and marketplace-related regulations
- Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable working in an early-stage start-up
- Ready to take ownership and build the company’s legal function from the beginning

Compensation
This position offers equity-only compensation during the initial phase. It is best suited to someone who believes in FillSpace’s long-term potential and wants to contribute as a committed member of the founding team.
