About the Role
The Sales Coordinator provides administrative, customer support, and business development assistance to the Business Development Manager, helping to drive sales activity and improve operational efficiency. This is a new role which involves customer outreach, lead generation, appointment scheduling, sales support administration, and maintaining accurate customer records.
Acting as a key point of contact for customers and prospects, the Sales Coordinator assists the Business Development Manager in identifying and developing new business opportunities while ensuring high standards of customer service. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a polite, outgoing and professional demeanor, and be very confident speaking with customers on the telephone.

- Contract Type: Permanent (6-month probation period).
- Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.30pm (option of hybrid working post probation).
- Location: Ace Express Freight, 216 Great Bridge St, West Bromwich B70 0DE, United Kingdom.
Key Duties of the Role
- Managing the sales team’s diaries and making appointments as required.
- Managing a sales database with notes, follow up dates, etc.
- Answering customer enquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Dealing with sales enquiries and quoting or checking costs with the sales team as required.
- Identify any extra opportunities with existing clients (upsell and cross sell).
- Helping to solve logistical problems.
- Liaising closely with the sales team.
- Dealing with clients in a professional and trustworthy manner.
- Ensuring all work undertaken by the company is of a sound commercial nature.
- Offering after-sales support to customers.
- Preparing spot quotes for potential customers and processing order requests.

Essential Requirements
- 1-2 years' experience in sales coordination, sales administration, or customer support role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
- Basic maths skills.
