Sales & Commercial Coordinator
Location: Wetherby, office-based

Akula is a UK-headquartered, international outdoor furniture company, designing and supplying marine-grade furniture for some of the world’s leading hotels, resorts, cruise lines and commercial spaces.
With teams across the UK, USA, UAE and Asia, we work on projects around the world and are continuing to grow our international presence.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and commercially minded Sales & Commercial Coordinator to support our sales team and help keep day-to-day activity running efficiently.
This varied role covers sales support, CRM and pipeline management, lead coordination and sample management, working closely with Sales and Marketing to ensure enquiries and opportunities are captured, followed up and progressed effectively.
As Akula continues to develop its sales and commercial systems, you will also help maintain accurate customer data and support new business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Commercial Support
- Support the sales team with enquiries, opportunities and live projects.
- Ensure new enquiries and RFQs are captured, allocated and progressed.
- Coordinate follow-ups, customer requests and sales documentation.
- Assist with sales reports, presentations and customer/project research.
- Work with Sales and Marketing to ensure opportunities are followed through.

CRM, Leads & Pipeline
- Maintain accurate customer, prospect and opportunity data within the CRM.
- Manage incoming leads and allocate them to the appropriate salesperson.
- Monitor pipelines, follow-ups and next steps.
- Maintain high standards of CRM data quality.
- Produce regular pipeline and activity reports.
Sample Management
- Coordinate customer and sales team sample requests.
- Prepare, package and arrange prompt dispatch of samples.
- Maintain sample records and stock levels.
- Coordinate couriers and deliveries where required.
- Link sample activity to the relevant customer or opportunity in the CRM.
About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Proactive and comfortable taking ownership.
- Commercially minded and interested in sales.
- A confident communicator.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities.
- Confident working with data, systems and technology.
- Curious and willing to research customers and opportunities.

Experience
Experience in sales support, commercial coordination, sales administration, CRM management or customer service would be beneficial. Experience with systems such as HubSpot, Salesforce, Nimble or Pipedrive would be advantageous, although training can be provided.
Most importantly, we are looking for someone who is organised, commercially aware, confident with technology and keen to develop.

- Enquiries and leads are captured and acted upon quickly.
- Opportunities are consistently followed up.
- CRM and pipeline data is accurate and reliable.
- Samples are managed and dispatched efficiently.
- Salespeople have the support and information they need to focus on selling.
- Leads are effectively tracked through to opportunity and order.
