Commercial Manager (Sponsorship & Exhibition Sales)

Loughton, Essex | Full time, office based | Up to £60,000 + uncapped commission

One of the UK's most decorated events and publishing businesses is launching a brand new edition of a genuinely iconic consumer exhibition, and they need a Commercial Manager to lead the sales charge on it.

This is the kind of brief that doesn't come round often. The show is the longest running consumer exhibition in the world, and this new Midlands edition is a blank floorplan waiting for someone commercial and entrepreneurial to fill it with the right brands. You'd be shaping how the next chapter of this brand looks.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Take full responsibility for sponsorship and stand revenue, from high profile activations and experiential deals through to filling the floor with brands worthy of a historic launch.
  • Lead, coach and mentor the commercial sales team, running one to ones, pipeline reviews and performance meetings.
  • Lead from the front by personally converting the key strategic opportunities.
  • Build and forecast the pipeline, shape proposals that actually land.
  • Work closely with content, marketing and operations to create innovative commercial products.
  • Report sales performance and pipeline analysis into the Commercial Director.
  • Be out at industry events building relationships too.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
