Role Description

The Sales Consultant role at BYD South West is a full-time, on-site position based in Plymouth. The Sales Consultant will welcome customers to the showroom, understand their needs, and guide them through vehicle features, test drives, and electric vehicle benefits. The role includes:

The Sales Consultant will follow up on leads, maintain accurate records in the sales system, and collaborate with colleagues to meet sales targets and deliver a positive customer experience. The position also involves staying up to date with BYD products, charging solutions, and industry developments to provide informed advice.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in Sales Consulting and Consulting to understand customer needs and recommend suitable BYD vehicles and solutions.
  • Strong Customer Service and Customer Satisfaction focus, with the ability to build long-term relationships and support repeat business.
  • Effective Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication and confident presentation of product and finance options.
  • Previous experience in automotive sales, retail sales, or a customer-facing commercial role is highly beneficial.
  • Interest in electric vehicles, sustainable transport, and new technology, with willingness to learn product details and industry trends.
  • Ability to work on-site in Plymouth, including weekends and peak trading hours as required, and to meet individual and team sales targets.
  • Comfort using CRM or sales systems, email, and basic office software to manage enquiries and sales documentation.
  • Valid UK driving licence and safe driving record.
