King Living Showroom Opening
King Living is opening a new showroom at Lakeside Retail Park — and we are looking for the founding team to bring it to life.
Since 1977 we have designed and manufactured our own furniture, and everything we make starts with engineering. Signature steel frames. Modular designs built to be reconfigured as a home changes. Removable covers. Pieces made to last decades rather than seasons. It is furniture people keep, adapt and pass on.
This is a rare opportunity to open a King Living showroom from day one. As part of the founding team you will help set the standard, shape the customer experience and build the culture of a brand-new site — in one of the UK’s busiest and most established retail destinations.
What You’ll Own
Sales & Customer Experience
Deliver exceptional service, build genuine relationships and maximise every sales opportunity from first conversation through to delivery.
Design Consultation & Product Expertise
Build strong product knowledge across design, materials, configurations and space planning to confidently guide customers.
Order Accuracy & Aftercare
Ensure configurations, measurements, selections, lead times and delivery expectations are accurate and clearly communicated.
Showroom Presentation & Brand Standards
Maintain a polished, beautifully presented showroom that reflects King Living’s quality and brand standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.

You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Team Contribution
Support the team, share ideas and contribute to a positive, collaborative showroom environment.
Who You Are
You are consultative, curious and genuinely interested in people.
You enjoy the longer conversation — the customer who arrives with a floor plan, the one who needs three visits, the one who wants to understand exactly how the frame is built before they decide.
You are equally happy talking a customer through fabric options, working up a configuration, following up a quote or restyling the showroom before opening.
You take ownership naturally, you communicate well, and you enjoy working in a close-knit team where everyone contributes.
You must be available for weekend and public holiday work which will be required to support the needs of the business.
You’ll Likely Bring
- Retail, hospitality or customer service experience, ideally in a premium or considered-purchase environment
- A genuine interest in design, interiors and how people live in their homes
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the patience for a longer sales journey
- Confidence working towards individual and showroom sales targets
- Good organisational skills and real attention to detail
- Confidence learning new systems, product configurations and processes
- A proactive, hands-on attitude and willingness to support across sales, presentation and customer aftercare
