Job Purpose
The Sales Consultant will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying, securing, and nurturing new client relationships. This role involves proactively sourcing opportunities, engaging with potential clients, and effectively presenting Penta Consulting’s services to close deals. The successful candidate will contribute to expanding our client base and increasing revenue by delivering tailored solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and execute new business in line with Penta Consulting’s overall growth objectives.
- Consistently achieve quarterly and annual sales targets through the acquisition and onboarding of new clients.
- Identify, qualify, and convert new business opportunities, taking ownership of the full 360 sales cycle from lead generation through to placement and account growth.
- Generate and qualify new leads through a variety of channels, including networking, referrals, and proactive outreach.
- Build, manage, and grow client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor in a consultative sales environment.
- Work closely with delivery teams to source, place, and manage candidates, ensuring high quality outcomes for clients.
- Build and maintain sustainable candidate pipelines aligned to client needs, ensuring long-term delivery capability.
- Attend client meetings and represent Penta Consulting to drive engagement, revenue growth, and retention.
- Prepare and present compelling business cases and opportunity assessments to the New Sales Director.
- Conduct market research, providing insights into customer trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market conditions, client requirements, and role specifications.
- Schedule and conduct sales meetings with both prospective and existing clients.
- Collaborate with and support junior team members, providing mentorship, tools, and training to enhance performance and development.
- Follow up with clients to ensure satisfaction with services and maintain strong relationships.
- Continuously identify and penetrate new target markets to expand business reach.
- Collaborate with the Group Sales Director and Marketing team to develop and refine sales strategies.
- Stay informed on competitive advantages and market positioning to support strategic sales efforts.

Experience & Qualifications
- Proven success in generating new business opportunities within a recruitment or technology sales role, with a strong track record of delivering revenue growth across complex client portfolios.
- Excellent sales negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers and secure long-term partnerships.
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed personal and team sales targets consistently.
- Experience in face-to-face client engagement, with strong relationship-building and consultative selling capabilities.
- Innovative and creative thinker, able to challenge conventional approaches and contribute to strategic sales development.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable using CRM and sales enablement tools.
- (Desirable) Educated to degree level or equivalent professional qualification.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and support junior colleagues in achieving their goals.
- Knowledge and an understanding of client needs within technology-driven environments.
