About Africa & Beyond

Africa & Beyond is a specialist travel company creating tailor-made journeys throughout Africa and selected long-haul destinations. We work closely with travel agents, combining detailed destination knowledge with personal service to create carefully planned trips for their clients.

The role

We are looking for an experienced Africa Travel Sales Consultant to convert high-value enquiries into confirmed bookings and create complex, tailor-made African itineraries. This is a consultative sales role requiring strong commercial ability and genuine knowledge of African travel. You will advise agents, recommend suitable destinations and experiences, and design itineraries around each client’s interests, travel style, and budget.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing inbound sales enquiries from initial contact through to confirmed booking.
  • Creating detailed, costed and tailor-made African itineraries.
  • Building strong relationships with travel agents and providing confident destination advice.
  • Achieving individual sales, conversion, and gross profit targets.
  • Generating additional opportunities through leads, referrals, and repeat business.
  • Preparing accurate quotations, proposals, and travel documentation.
  • Managing supplier communications, booking processes, and amendments.
  • Maintaining accurate enquiry and customer records within the CRM system.
  • Keeping up to date with destinations, lodges, camps, hotels, and industry developments.
  • Attending supplier training, trade events, webinars, and educational trips when required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
