What You'll Be Doing

The Role

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Sales Consultant to join our Sales & Marketing team in Bath. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while maximising sales opportunities and achieving sales targets across our development portfolio.

You will manage customers throughout their purchasing journey, from initial enquiry through to exchange and completion, ensuring a seamless and professional experience that reflects the Berkeley brand.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Performance

  • Achieve and exceed sales targets, sales rates and revenue objectives.
  • Maximise sales values in line with business forecasts and budgets.
  • Manage customer enquiries and convert leads into reservations.
  • Conduct viewings, appointments and presentations for prospective purchasers.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of development specifications, pricing, availability and local market conditions.
  • Accurately maintain customer information within CRM systems.

Customer Experience

  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience at every stage of the sales journey.
  • Build strong relationships with prospective and existing customers.
  • Proactively follow up leads and maintain regular communication.
  • Resolve customer queries efficiently and professionally.
  • Support customers through the reservation, exchange and completion process.

Sales Office & Presentation Standards

  • Ensure the sales office, show homes and surrounding areas are maintained to the highest standard.
  • Represent Berkeley professionally at all times.
  • Maintain accurate sales documentation and promotional materials.
  • Ensure all marketing collateral is current and effectively displayed.

Compliance & Administration

  • Ensure compliance with Consumer Code requirements and company procedures.
  • Complete reservation paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Support AML and identity verification processes.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting.
  • Work closely with legal teams, mortgage advisors and other stakeholders to progress sales.

Team & Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Attend sales and marketing meetings.
  • Work collaboratively with Sales, Marketing, Customer Service and Construction teams.
  • Provide market feedback, customer insights and competitor intelligence.
  • Support events, launches, exhibitions and marketing initiatives as required.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Previous experience in new homes, estate agency, property sales or a customer-facing sales environment.
  • Strong sales and negotiation skills.
  • Proven ability to achieve and exceed targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service ethos.
  • IT proficient with Microsoft Office and CRM systems.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • New homes sales experience.
  • Knowledge of the Bath and wider South West property market.
  • Understanding of the reservation-to-completion sales process.
  • Experience with AML and compliance procedures.
  • Additional language skills.

The standard default full-time working hours in the office are 8am-5pm with core working hours 9am-4pm.
