SALES CONSULTANT
Glasgow
35 hours per week
Monday – Friday 9.00 am – 5.00 pm
Salary circa £29,500.00 plus opportunity for commission and incentives
Established over 70 years ago, at Capital (Hair & Beauty) Ltd we are a family business with over 60 stores throughout the UK and Ireland; along with a very successful website this makes us the largest independent wholesale supplier to the professional hair & beauty industry in the UK.
Supplying cutting edge brands such as L’Oréal, Olaplex, A.S.P, Wella, Goldwell, K18, Schwarzkopf and many more, makes us a one stop shop for the industry.
Role Profile
We are seeking a Sales Consultant to represent Capital Hair and Beauty in the Glasgow territory. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a consultative approach and possess excellent knowledge of the salon professional industry dynamics making them a valuable asset to our existing team.
Strong analytical and organisational skills supported by sales experience and knowledge of the professional hair care market will be key to success in this exciting and challenging role.

The Candidate will be a motivated and resilient individual looking to work in a very exciting, dynamic and growing industry. The role will predominantly be aimed at the development of new salon customers with some existing business to manage.
Working well as a team is important as you will be supported by the in-store team to generate and maintain new/existing customers within your territory.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Represent the Capital Hair and Beauty brand to salon professionals to establish relationships and increase sale revenue through positive interaction and teamwork.
- Achieve assigned targets.
- Build outstanding relationships with customer base, store manager and in store staff to adopt a team approach.
- Find opportunities by prospecting new salon business, generating appointments and initiatives to gain incremental sales.
- Lead, manage, and execute key activities that grow market share via sales and educational support available to you.
- Effective reporting daily/weekly/monthly basis

To be successful in the role you will have:
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience in a direct sales role
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs
- Experience in the professional hair and beauty industry
- Full clean driving licence
- Computer literacy and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Desire to achieve in a competitive but rewarding industry
