A Different Kind of Sales Role, Working with Beautiful Materials and Interesting Projects.

Hampton Bishop, Herefordshire | Full-time, On-site
£35,000 per year + Performance-related bonus

White Hall Flagstones is an established, family-run business based on a Herefordshire farm, specialising in beautiful natural stone flooring, traditional flagstones, and engineered oak.

Our Story

Our story began more than 25 years ago, and since 2005 we've been carefully sourcing and supplying natural flooring solutions for homes and projects across the UK.

We work with homeowners, designers, architects, and tradespeople, helping them find the right flooring for everything from country kitchens and period renovations to extensions, new builds, and larger architectural projects.

We're now looking for a Sales Consultant to join our team at our Hampton Bishop showroom.

This is a role for someone who enjoys people, beautiful homes, and thoughtful design, and who takes pride in giving genuinely good advice.

What Makes This Role Different?

This isn't a cold-calling or high-pressure sales environment.

Our customers are already looking for us.

  • They come to us through website enquiries, sample requests, showroom visits, recommendations, and our long-standing relationships with designers, architects, and tradespeople.
  • Your job is to understand what they're trying to achieve, help them navigate the choices, and make sure they find the right floor for their project.

Sometimes that might mean helping a homeowner choose the perfect stone for a new kitchen. Sometimes it might mean working alongside an interior designer on a whole-house renovation. Sometimes it's helping a builder or architect find a flooring solution that works technically as well as aesthetically.

It's about consultative selling rather than selling for the sake of selling.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be based at our Herefordshire showroom, working closely with customers from their first enquiry through to placing an order.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Welcoming customers to the showroom and understanding what they're looking to achieve
  • Responding to customer enquiries by phone, email, and other channels
  • Guiding customers through our natural stone, traditional flagstone, and engineered oak collections
  • Advising on styles, colours, finishes, formats, layouts, and relevant installation considerations
  • Helping customers select the right flooring for their property, lifestyle, aesthetic, and budget
  • Preparing accurate quotations and managing enquiries through to order
  • Following up with customers and keeping projects moving
  • Building strong, lasting relationships with homeowners, designers, architects, and trade customers
  • Managing customer orders and ensuring information is accurate throughout the process
  • Working closely with our operations team to ensure orders are accurate and delivered as promised
  • Supporting customers throughout their project and helping to resolve any queries that arise
  • Maintaining accurate customer records and keeping our sales systems and CRM up to date
  • Contributing to product displays and keeping our showroom and samples looking their best
  • Developing your knowledge of our products, suppliers, and installation requirements
  • Contributing ideas to help us continually improve our customer experience and sales processes

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You'll become part of a small team where product knowledge, attention to detail, and doing things properly really matter.

Who We're Looking For

We're not necessarily looking for someone who has sold flooring before.

You might already be working in interiors, kitchens, bathrooms, furniture, building materials, premium retail, or another design-led environment.

Or you may simply be an experienced, personable salesperson with a genuine interest in homes, architecture, and beautiful materials.

Relevant experience in interior design, building materials, or home improvement retail would be beneficial, but we're more interested in finding the right person than ticking boxes.

What matters most is how you work with people.

You're likely to be someone who:

  • Enjoys having proper conversations with customers rather than following a sales script
  • Listens carefully and asks good questions
  • Can make complicated choices feel straightforward
  • Is confident giving advice without being pushy
  • Takes pride in getting the details right
  • Is organised and comfortable managing several customer projects at once
  • Has a natural eye for design and an interest in interiors, architecture, or homes
  • Enjoys learning about products and becoming genuinely knowledgeable about what you sell
  • Is commercially aware and motivated by achieving personal and team targets
  • Is comfortable using computers, CRM systems, and everyday digital tools
  • Has clear and professional communication skills, both in person and in writing
  • Works well as part of a small, close-knit team
  • Is self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage their own workload
  • Has excellent attention to detail when preparing quotations, processing orders, and maintaining customer information

  • You'll meet interesting customers and work on projects ranging from beautiful country homes to contemporary new builds, period properties, and complex renovations.
  • You'll also develop genuine expertise in natural stone, flagstones, engineered oak, finishes, layouts, and the practical considerations involved in creating a beautiful, long-lasting floor.
  • And because our customers come to us looking for what we offer, there's no cold calling.
  • It's a chance to build a career in consultative sales while becoming genuinely knowledgeable about some of the most beautiful and enduring materials used in a home.
