Job Description – Sales Consultant – NHS/Primary Care (Flexible / Fractional)
About GrowYourListSize
GrowYourListSize helps GP practices across England increase patient registrations through data-driven marketing, digital advertising, and practice growth strategies.
Demand for our service is growing rapidly and we're looking for an experienced sales professional to work directly with our founder, taking ownership of qualified sales conversations and helping convert opportunities into long-term clients.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys consultative sales, values flexibility, and is confident selling high-value services.
The Role
You'll work closely with the founder to learn our business model, understand how our service delivers value to GP practices, and gradually take ownership of sales appointments.
All meetings will be with warm prospects who have requested a consultation following our marketing activity. There is no cold calling within this role.
Your primary objective is to convert qualified opportunities into signed client contracts.
Responsibilities
- Attend qualified sales appointments with prospective GP practices.
- Prepare for each appointment by reviewing the practice's bespoke demographic and competitor report.
- Understand each practice's challenges and growth opportunities.
- Present the GrowYourListSize service in a consultative manner.
- Handle objections confidently and professionally.
- Close opportunities and secure signed contracts.
- Maintain accurate CRM records following each appointment.
- Provide feedback to the founder to continuously improve the sales process.
- Participate in mentoring and regular sales reviews with the founder.
Desirable:
- Attend occasional industry conferences and events (typically around five per year) to represent GrowYourListSize.
- Engage with prospective clients at events and encourage them to book a consultation or complete an online report.
- Support the founder with event setup, lead capture, and follow-up where required.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Workload
This role offers flexible hours, but workload will vary depending on marketing activity.
Initially you should expect approximately:
- 5–15 sales appointments per week
- Around one hour per appointment
- Approximately one hour of preparation before each meeting
As marketing activity scales, appointment volumes are expected to increase significantly.
Applicants must therefore be able to offer good diary availability with multiple appointment slots each week that clients can book into.
Essential Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone who has:
- Proven experience in consultative sales
- A track record of consistently converting opportunities into customers
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Strong objection-handling and negotiation ability
- Confidence presenting services via Microsoft Teams or Zoom
- Excellent organisational skills
- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Desirable Experience
Although not essential, the following would be highly advantageous:
- Experience selling into the NHS
- Knowledge of General Practice or Primary Care
- Experience selling healthcare, consultancy, or professional services
- Familiarity with CRM systems
- Experience working within a fast-growing business
Training & Support
You will receive mentoring directly from the founder to understand:
- The GrowYourListSize methodology
- Our value proposition
- Sales process
- Pricing model
- Objection handling
- Client onboarding process
The expectation is that, following onboarding, you will become increasingly autonomous in managing the sales process.
Commercial Terms
This is a flexible, self-employed contractor position.
Remuneration consists of:
- £1,000 monthly retainer
- £300 commission for every client converted after the first two successful conversions each calendar month
This structure is designed to reward high performance while recognising the need for flexibility as lead volumes fluctuate.

Flexibility
Because appointment volumes are directly linked to marketing activity, the number of hours required will vary from week to week.
Applicants should therefore be comfortable working in a flexible capacity and maintaining sufficient diary availability to accommodate prospective client bookings.
While not a core part of the role, we attend a small number of primary care conferences and exhibitions each year (typically around five). It would be advantageous if the successful candidate were able to attend some of these events to support lead generation and engage with prospective clients.
Attendance at events is desirable rather than essential, and appropriate travel expenses will be covered.
Performance
Success in this role will be measured primarily on:
- Conversion rate
- Client experience
- Professionalism
- Reliability
- CRM accuracy
- Availability for appointments
Contract
This will initially be offered as a self-employed contractor agreement.
As conversion performance is fundamental to the role, the agreement will include a short notice period, allowing either party to end the engagement quickly should the arrangement not prove successful.
Ideal Candidate
This role would suit someone who:
- Enjoys selling but dislikes cold calling.
- Is commercially minded and driven by results.
- Wants a flexible role alongside other consultancy or sales work.
- Is confident speaking with GP Partners and Practice Managers.
- Thrives in a growing business where they can make a real impact.
- Enjoys building relationships with senior decision-makers.
- Is confident representing the business both online and in person.
- Is willing, where possible, to attend occasional industry events to support lead generation.
- Is excited about joining a growing business and helping shape its sales function.
