Sales Consultant

Overchain | Full-time | London | Office-based
£40,000 basic plus bonus unlocked on appointments set | 2 years' sales experience

About Overchain

Overchain is a regulated crypto payments and settlement business. We provide institutional clients with stablecoin and digital asset payment rails, OTC liquidity, crypto acceptance and fast fiat settlement, supported by closed-loop banking relationships with tier one banks.

Our clients are regulated businesses that move significant volume and cannot afford settlement risk or slow payouts. They include brokers, exchanges, virtual asset service providers, payment service providers, gaming operators and merchants taking crypto for the first time. We are FINTRAC registered, with FCA and MiCA authorisation in progress.

Overchain sits inside a wider group covering banking and payments consultancy, foreign exchange, commercial finance and e-money. Consultants gain exposure to that full product suite without being involved in it day to day, which is useful commercial grounding in how money actually moves.

The Role

This is a sales development role focused on generating and booking qualified demos for our senior sales team.

The market is moving quickly. Businesses that have never touched digital assets are now being asked by their own customers and counterparties to settle in stablecoins, and the firms already doing it are discovering their current provider is slow, expensive or both. Your job is to find those businesses, open the conversation, work out whether there is a genuine payments problem worth solving, and put a qualified meeting in a senior colleague's diary.

You will spend your time on outbound. Calls, email, LinkedIn and event follow-up, working from targeted account lists across our core verticals. You will sit in on the demos you book, which is how you learn the product properly and how you build towards owning deals yourself.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

You do not need a crypto background. You need to be able to prospect, hold a credible conversation with a decision maker, and learn a technical product quickly.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Running outbound campaigns by phone, email and LinkedIn into named target accounts
  • Researching accounts and identifying which firms have a payments or settlement problem worth a conversation
  • Qualifying properly: volumes, corridors, currencies, current provider, settlement times, cost, and who owns the decision
  • Booking demos for senior sales and making sure they are briefed, prepared and attended
  • Attending those demos, taking notes and owning the follow-up
  • Supporting pipeline generation around industry events and conferences
  • Learning the product set, including stablecoin settlement, OTC execution, crypto acceptance and fiat payout, and being able to explain it simply
  • Keeping HubSpot accurate, with activity, notes and next steps logged
  • Hitting weekly activity targets and monthly targets for qualified appointments set

What We Are Looking For

  • Around two years of sales experience in a role where you prospected and carried a number. Payments, fintech, financial services, SaaS or recruitment backgrounds all work
  • Evidence you can get through to and hold a conversation with senior decision makers
  • Hungry and ambitious, wanting to build a career and progress to closing
  • Resilient, comfortable with rejection and consistent when a week goes badly
  • Coachable, able to take feedback and apply it quickly
  • Curious, asking questions and genuinely wanting to understand how a client's business works
  • Organised, able to manage a pipeline and follow up without being chased
  • Accountable for your own numbers
  • Right to work in the UK and able to work from our London office five days a week

Nice to Have

  • Exposure to payments, crypto, digital assets or regulated financial services
  • Experience selling into brokers, exchanges, PSPs, gaming or high-risk merchants
  • Familiarity with HubSpot or a comparable CRM, and with outbound tooling
  • Experience generating pipeline around conferences and industry events
  • A second language

Progression

The role is built as a route into senior sales, not as a permanent appointment-setting job.

Consistent performance against appointment and conversion targets moves you to senior sales consultant, where you run demos and own deals end to end, with a higher basic and a commission structure tied to closed revenue. We expect the right person to make that step inside 6 to 18 months. Progression is based on performance, not tenure, and the criteria are set out clearly from day one.

What We Offer

  • £40,000 basic salary
  • Discretionary bonus paid upon hitting target (target number of demos booked)
  • A defined progression path to senior sales consultant with an uplift in basic and commission share of revenue generated.
  • Structured training on digital asset payments, the product set and the client base
  • Direct mentoring from senior sales and the leadership team
  • London office, five days a week
  • Attendance at industry events and conferences
  • A growing group across five businesses, where good people move quickly
