King Living Showroom Opening

King Living is opening a new showroom at Lakeside Retail Park — and we are looking for the founding team to bring it to life.

About Us

Since 1977 we have designed and manufactured our own furniture, and everything we make starts with engineering. Signature steel frames. Modular designs built to be reconfigured as a home changes. Removable covers. Pieces made to last decades rather than seasons. It is furniture people keep, adapt and pass on.

About the Opportunity

This is a rare opportunity to open a King Living showroom from day one. As part of the founding team you will help set the standard, shape the customer experience and build the culture of a brand-new site — in one of the UK’s busiest and most established retail destinations.

What You’ll Own

Sales & Customer Experience

  • Deliver exceptional customer experiences and maximise every sales opportunity.
  • Build genuine relationships, understand how each customer lives and confidently guide them through a considered purchase.
  • Follow through properly — the first conversation, the follow-up, the design revision, the order, the delivery.

Design Consultation & Product Expertise

  • Become a genuine expert in what we make and why it is made that way.
  • Learn the engineering, the modular configurations, the fabrics, leathers and finishes, and use space planning to help customers see a King Living piece in their own home before they buy it.

Order Accuracy & Aftercare

  • Get the detail right the first time, every time.
  • Configurations, fabric selections, measurements, lead times and delivery expectations. Accuracy protects the customer experience long after the sale is made, and it is what turns a customer into a repeat one.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Showroom Presentation & Brand Standards

  • Represent King Living with professionalism and pride.
  • Maintain an immaculate, beautifully styled showroom that reflects the quality of the product. Every customer should walk into a space that is worth their time.

Team Contribution

  • Be the teammate everyone wants beside them.
  • Support wherever needed, share what works, contribute ideas and help create an environment where a brand-new team succeeds together.

Who You Are

  • You are consultative, curious and genuinely interested in people.
  • You enjoy the longer conversation — the customer who arrives with a floor plan, the one who needs three visits, the one who wants to understand exactly how the frame is built before they decide.
  • You are equally happy talking a customer through fabric options, working up a configuration, following up a quote or restyling the showroom before opening.
  • You take ownership naturally, you communicate well, and you enjoy working in a close-knit team where everyone contributes.
  • You must be available for weekend and public holiday work which will be required to support the needs of the business.

What You’ll Likely Bring

  • Retail, hospitality or customer service experience, ideally in a premium or considered-purchase environment
  • A genuine interest in design, interiors and how people live in their homes
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the patience for a longer sales journey
  • Confidence working towards individual and showroom sales targets
  • Good organisational skills and real attention to detail
  • Confidence learning new systems, product configurations and processes
  • A proactive, hands-on attitude and willingness to support across sales, presentation and customer aftercare
