Peoples are proud to offer their expanding range of products to our customers supported with our Marketing efforts recognised as OMODA|JAECOO Marketing Team of the Year.

We have a rare opportunity to join this fast-paced environment at Peoples Falkirk as a Sales Controller. This exciting role requires a driven and enthusiastic individual to lead our established Sales team.

Reporting to the Sales Manager, this role will support in driving the sales performance and customer experience across Omoda|Jaecoo and our UsedPlus+ brand. We need someone who wants to help lead and motivate the team and genuinely have a hunger for knowing where the next deal is coming from. For this role to work, we need the right person to be hungry and ambitious and to be able to drive business performance and deliver excellent levels of customer service.

Responsibilities

This role reports into the Sales Manager and a summary of the key role requirements are below:

  • Build genuine relationships with our customers so you can understand what is best and most suited to the customer to make sure you give them the best car purchasing experience.
  • Ensure the team are fluent in EV and that every single customer receives an alternative quote for an EV.
  • You need to be committed – if you say you are going to do something, do it! Whether that be following up with a customer, sending reports on time or following up training – everything is important.
  • Driving the absolute importance of excellent customer service. This means promoting 5* reviews across the team, preventing and/or resolving customer complaints in a positive manner, and ensuring CVP NPS measures on both new Ford and Omoda are achieved. Where these are being missed, we need to know what the plan will be to fix this.
  • Supporting the Dealership to achieve sales deadlines and targets – where is the next deal coming from within the sales team? Is every enquiry being treated like gold dust? Is every customer getting the experience we want? We can’t sit and wait for the customers to come to us.
  • Driving the importance of omni channel communication for customers and ensuring video content and follow-up are maximised to get our customer excited about their future purchase.
  • Making sure all processes are in place and being followed by the team, whether that is EVA, FCA requirements, the basics of the sales process – we need to be great at the basics.
  • Supporting and helping colleagues where required to deliver team priorities and sales targets.
  • Proactively supporting and co-ordinating events to bring our products to customers. Working with the marketing team to get involved in these and motivating the sales team to participate. Our products are the best in the market and bringing these out of the showroom and into communities is key.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
