Are you an experienced commercial leader who knows how to turn strong customer partnerships into profitable growth? Can you combine strategic thinking with hands-on account management and bring out the best in your team?
We’re looking for a Sales Controller – Grocery to lead our key grocery partnerships across the UK & Ireland, helping bring Krispy Kreme to more people, more often.
You’ll take direct ownership of Tesco UK & Ireland, building senior customer relationships and delivering a compelling, multi-year Joint Business Plan. You’ll also lead and develop a Senior National Account Manager responsible for the day-to-day management of Sainsbury’s and Asda, providing the direction, coaching and commercial challenge to drive success.
Reporting to our Sales Director, you’ll own commercial delivery across this portfolio, combining ambitious customer plans with brilliant execution in store.
What you’ll be doing
Building strategic customer partnerships
- Own the day-to-day commercial relationship with Tesco UK & Ireland and build strong partnerships with senior customer stakeholders.
- Develop and deliver a multi-year Tesco Joint Business Plan that creates sustainable growth and value for both businesses.
- Unlock opportunities across distribution, range, space, shopper missions and new routes to market.
- Provide strategic leadership across Sainsbury’s and Asda, supporting the Senior National Account Manager to develop and deliver effective customer plans.
- Lead customer business reviews, using clear insights and compelling commercial proposals to secure support for growth initiatives.

Delivering profitable growth
- Take accountability for revenue, volume and profitability targets across Tesco, Sainsbury’s and Asda.
- Grow same-store sales through improved availability, effective promotions, space optimisation and strong in-store execution.
- Lead Tesco promotional plans, product launches and seasonal activations, while overseeing delivery across the wider portfolio.
- Work closely with Demand Planning, Supply Chain, Marketing and Finance to align customer ambitions with operational capability.
- Partner with operational teams to improve availability, reduce waste and resolve issues quickly.
Leading and developing your team
- Coach and develop the Senior National Account Manager, building capability, confidence and accountability.
- Set clear priorities and performance expectations, empowering your direct report to own customer relationships and delivery.
- Build a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and pace.
Turning insight into action
- Own customer sales forecasts, ensuring clear assumptions, accuracy and accountability against budget.
- Analyse sales, availability, waste and profitability to identify risks and growth opportunities.
- Evaluate promotional performance and return on investment to strengthen future plans.
- Maintain robust commercial governance and disciplined customer investment decisions.

What you’ll bring
- Significant experience in senior National Account Management or Sales Controller roles within FMCG, food or retail, with a strong record of profitable growth.
- Extensive experience working directly with Tesco, including senior customer relationships and strategic, multi-year Joint Business Plans.
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to build persuasive business cases and influence senior stakeholders.
- Proven people leadership experience, with the ability to coach, challenge and develop commercial talent.
- Strong financial and analytical skills, translating insight into practical action.
- A passion for brands and retail execution, understanding how customer strategy delivers results in store.
- A positive, ambitious approach: you take ownership, set high standards and make things happen.
