To lead and develop the Pet Trade channel, ensuring profitable growth across key customers while building a high-performing team capable of delivering the next stage of growth for Pets Choice.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead the Pet Trade channel strategy across specialist retail and pet trade customers.
  • Manage and develop a team consisting of National Account Managers, Internal Account Managers, and Field Sales personnel.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers, including Pets at Home and other strategic pet trade accounts.
  • Identify opportunities for growth, distribution gains, and commercial improvement.
  • Work closely with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Senior Leadership to improve channel performance.
  • Support ongoing SKU rationalisation, pricing projects, and process and systems efficiencies.
  • Review existing ways of working and implement improvements to processes, reporting, and account management standards.
  • Develop future talent within the Pet Trade team.

Skills, Experience, and Qualifications Required

Essential

  • Pet Industry experience essential
  • Proven leadership experience
  • National Account Management / Channel Management background
  • Experience managing major retail or specialist pet accounts
  • Comfortable operating within a fast-moving entrepreneurial business
  • Strong commercial and strategic capability

This role is remote/field-based with regular travel to our Head Office in Blackburn.
