I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Who we're looking for?
We care more about the person than having the “perfect” CV. You should be:
- Extremely organised
- Reliable and proactive
- Confident speaking to clients on the phone and by email
- Comfortable chasing people when something needs doing
- Good at managing multiple tasks at once
- Detail-focused
- Able to work quickly without becoming careless
- Comfortable using CRM systems, spreadsheets and technology
- Someone who takes ownership rather than constantly waiting to be told what to do
- Ambitious and interested in growing with a young business
Attention check: One of the questions in the next stage will ask, “What is 10 + 10?” Please answer 66.
Experience in property, estate agency, new homes, financial services, mortgages, conveyancing or sales administration would be useful, but it is not essential if you are sharp, organised and willing to learn.

You’ll probably enjoy this role if you like being the person who knows exactly what is going on.
The sales team may be focused on speaking to clients and bringing in new business. Your job is to make sure everything behind those conversations actually happens.
- If a client needs calling, you know.
- If a solicitor hasn’t replied, you chase.
- If a viewing needs arranging, you organise it.
- If a reservation needs progressing, you keep it moving.
- If something is missing, you spot it before it becomes a problem.
Why Join?
We are at an early stage of building the business, which means this is an opportunity to join before the company becomes much larger.
You’ll work closely with the Director, have real responsibility from day one, and have the opportunity to grow into a more senior Sales Operations / Office Management / Transaction Management position as the company expands.
We’ve recently moved into new offices in Birmingham City Centre and are building a modern, technology-led property business with significant growth plans.
