Sales Coordinator – Events

Location: Leeds

Salary: £25,000 - £26,000 with regular salary reviews based on performance

Job Type: Full-time | Office Based

Are you organised, personable and passionate about delivering great customer experiences?

We are looking for a Sales Coordinator to join our busy events team in Leeds. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, has excellent attention to detail and wants to develop their career within sales and the events industry. You will work closely with the Sales Manager and wider sales team, supporting the full sales process from the initial enquiry through to confirmed booking and handover to the Event Management team.

The Role

As Sales Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that enquiries, client communications and bookings are managed efficiently and professionally. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Responding promptly and professionally to incoming sales enquiries.
  • Maintaining accurate client, enquiry and booking records.
  • Preparing and sending quotations, proposals and booking documentation.
  • Monitoring outstanding enquiries and following up with prospective clients.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients throughout the enquiry and booking process.
  • Arranging client meetings, tours and presentations.
  • Supporting the Sales Manager with sales reports and forecasts.
  • Assisting with lead generation and business development activity.
  • Supporting sales campaigns, networking activity and promotional initiatives.
  • Ensuring all confirmed booking information is accurately recorded.
  • Preparing clear and detailed information for handover to the Event Manager.
  • Working closely with the Sales, Event Management and Operations teams to ensure a smooth client journey.
  • Providing excellent customer service and building strong relationships with clients.

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
  • Friendly, professional and confident when dealing with clients.
  • An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
  • Proactive and able to use their own initiative.
  • Comfortable managing multiple enquiries and priorities.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and CRM or booking systems.
  • A strong team player who enjoys working collaboratively.
  • Commercially aware and understands the importance of delivering great customer service.
  • Reliable, hardworking and conscientious.
  • Confident dealing with people face-to-face and over the telephone.

Previous experience in sales, sales administration, customer service, events, hospitality or catering would be advantageous, although we are particularly interested in finding someone with the right attitude, organisation and enthusiasm.
