The Role
Reporting to the Sales Manager, your role will be to manage and develop customer accounts, maximise sales opportunities and provide a consistently high level of customer service. You will be responsible for building strong customer relationships, understanding their requirements and proactively identifying opportunities to increase sales and strengthen existing business.

Responsibilities
- Responding to incoming sales calls promptly and professionally.
- Responding to customer enquiries and quotations in a timely manner.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer and contact information.
- Building and maintaining strong, long-term customer relationships based on trust and professionalism.
- Identifying opportunities to increase sales within existing customer accounts.
- Contacting prospective customers to introduce company products and services and generate new business.
- Understanding customer requirements and recommending suitable products and solutions.
- Responding to customer questions and escalating complex issues to the appropriate department when required.
- Developing and maintaining a strong knowledge of the company’s products, services and capabilities.
- Working towards and achieving agreed sales targets and objectives.
- Proactively identifying and contacting new prospects to develop new business opportunities.
- Handling customer complaints, queries and negotiations professionally and effectively.
- Following up quotations and outstanding opportunities to maximise conversion.
- Supporting colleagues and providing account cover when required.
- Working closely with Customer Service, Purchasing, Warehouse and other departments to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Maintaining a professional approach in all customer and internal communications.
- Taking ownership of customer enquiries and seeing them through to completion wherever possible.
