We are looking for a motivated and ambitious Sales & Customer Service Advisor to join our team in Boston, Lincolnshire. This is an exciting opportunity for a developing sales professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities, and helping customers find the right solutions while delivering excellent customer service. As part of our sales team, you will play a key role in driving customer growth, generating sales opportunities, and supporting customers. We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about sales, enjoys working with customers, and is motivated by achieving results.

This role would suit someone who has gained experience in internal sales, customer service and account support, or a business-to-business environment and is looking to develop their career in sales. You will be naturally curious, commercially minded, enjoy speaking with customers, and be motivated by helping grow customer accounts and delivering results.

What will you do?

  • Develop strong relationships with customers to identify sales opportunities and support business growth.
  • Work closely with Account Managers to create and deliver joint growth plans through product reviews, market insights, and customer initiatives.
  • Proactively contact customers to generate new business opportunities, discuss historical purchasing trends, build load opportunities, and support sales targets.
  • Handle incoming calls, customer enquiries, and orders confidently and efficiently, using each interaction to support sales opportunities while maintaining high service standards.
  • Investigate and resolve customer concerns and complaints professionally, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate and build strong relationships with internal teams to ensure customer requirements are met regarding stock availability, deliveries, and order fulfilment.
  • Promote Metsä Wood products, services, promotions, and value-added solutions to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Monitor and analyse sales performance, product trends, and customer activity, using insights to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Utilise CRM systems effectively to manage customer relationships, sales activities and orders, opportunities, and follow-up actions.
  • Use business reporting tools, data, and sales and operational reports to make informed commercial decisions, recommend actions to improve performance, follow up opportunities, and resolve issues.
  • Participate in training and development activities to continually enhance your sales, product, and commercial knowledge.

What are we looking for?

  • Passion for building customer relationships and identifying sales opportunities.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to engage customers and influence positive outcomes.
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to achieving targets and delivering results.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn in a fast-paced commercial environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and an interest in developing sales skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and use information to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Confident making proactive outbound sales calls and engaging with customers.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills, with the ability to solve problems and make sound decisions.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confident user of CRM systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Flexible to meet business needs. Core hours are 37.5 hours per week.
