We're looking for a motivated and customer-focused Sales Customer Support Advisor to join our Sales team and play a key role in supporting customer success while developing the skills and experience needed for a future career in sales.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for customer service, commercial awareness, and relationship building. You'll work closely with our Account Managers and Sales teams, gaining valuable exposure to customer management, sales processes, and strategic business initiatives while helping deliver outstanding customer experiences.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Sales Customer Support Advisor, you'll provide essential support to both customers and sales teams, ensuring seamless customer engagement and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
Customer Support & Relationship Management
- Build strong relationships with customers and support their overall experience with DHL.
- Assist customers in understanding DHL products, services, and digital shipping solutions.
- Support customer onboarding, implementation activities, and service adoption.
- Help resolve customer queries and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely solutions.
- Support customer retention through proactive engagement and issue management.
- Provide temporary territory coverage during periods of absence or vacancy to maintain customer continuity.
- Accompany Account Managers on customer visits to gain practical commercial experience.

Commercial & Sales Support
- Identify potential sales opportunities and refer them to the appropriate sales colleagues.
- Support customer growth, acquisition, and retention campaigns.
- Gather and share market intelligence, customer feedback, and competitor insights.
- Assist with account reviews, pipeline management, and customer engagement planning.
Data & Systems Management
- Maintain accurate customer information within CRM and sales systems.
- Support data quality and sales reporting activities.
- Assist with pipeline preparation, business reviews, and performance reporting.
Digital Solutions Support
- Act as a first point of contact for customer queries relating to DHL electronic shipping solutions and digital tools.
- Promote adoption of DHL's digital services and self-service platforms.
- Coordinate with IT and digital support teams to resolve system-related customer issues.
Learning & Development
- Complete the DHL Sales Academy and development programmes.
- Gain exposure to multiple business functions including Operations, Customer Service, Finance, Customs, Digital Solutions, and Sales.
- Develop knowledge of DHL products, services, customer onboarding processes, and commercial sales methodologies.
What We're Looking For
To succeed in this role, you'll bring:
- 1-2 years' experience in a customer-facing, sales support, customer service, or commercial environment.
- A strong customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering excellent service.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
- Good digital literacy and confidence using technology and business systems.
- A proactive attitude and strong desire to learn and develop.
- Commercial curiosity and ambition to progress into a future sales role.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics. Additional business, sales, or customer service qualifications would be advantageous.
- Fluent English language skills.
