As we continue to expand our business and grow our sales force, we are looking for an ambitious and commercially focused Business Development Advisor to take responsibility for developing an assigned territory.

The Role

This is a field-based sales role where you will be responsible for driving sales growth across your territory through a combination of existing customer development, account retention and new business acquisition. You will spend the majority of your time on the road visiting customers and prospective customers, building relationships, identifying opportunities and growing sales. Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop an assigned geographical sales territory.

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities.
  • Increase sales, margin and product penetration across the territory.
  • Regularly visit customers to understand their requirements and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Develop existing accounts by introducing additional products and increasing customer spend.
  • Promote C.T.C. Wholesalers Ltd. promotions, company initiatives and new product launches.
  • Make customers aware of our extensive range of nearly 4,000 product lines.
  • Identify opportunities to introduce new categories and products into existing accounts.
  • Prospect for new customers across sectors including forecourts, convenience stores, hardware stores, farm shops and caravan parks.
  • Negotiate and close new business opportunities.
  • Monitor competitor activity and provide valuable market intelligence to the business.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer records and sales information.
  • Work closely with the internal sales and support teams to ensure customers receive an excellent level of service.
  • Achieve agreed sales, margin, customer acquisition and target-based bonus/commission objectives.
  • Plan and manage your diary and customer visits effectively to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Represent C.T.C. Wholesalers Ltd. professionally at all times.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
