Beer and Pub Business Account Manager

What if you got a patch full of loyal customers who just need someone to show up and make things happen? Here’s your shot at being that person.

We’re working with one of the UK’s biggest beer and pub businesses. It brews its own beers, is investing heavily in a brand-new brewery, and is properly strong in the Nottingham area. This role looks after its free trade customers across Nottingham and South Yorkshire: 70 to 80 independent pubs and bars that are already on side.

Why should you care?

Because the hard part is already done. These customers have stayed loyal, but they’ve been short on attention. Get back to basics, turn up, do what you say you’ll do, and growth will follow. You’ll have well-known venues nearby to use for customer hospitality, and the backing of a business that supplies some of the biggest venues in the region. Longer term, it’s one of the biggest hospitality businesses in the UK. People in this role have moved into area management, pub operations and other teams, and you can shadow other departments if you want to explore.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you’ll actually be doing

  • Looking after 70 to 80 free trade accounts across Nottingham and South Yorkshire
  • Spending four to five days a week out with customers, building relationships that last
  • Re-engaging a loyal customer base and finding the growth that’s sitting in it
  • Building selling stories and deals that work for the customer and for the business
  • Managing your territory’s numbers and P&L
  • Using big-name venues for customer hospitality and engagement

Who you are

You’re a good person to do business with. You do what you say you’ll do, and you never over-promise, because you know your customers’ livelihoods depend on it. You’re commercially sharp, persuasive and happiest out on the road. You’ll have sold beer or cider into the on-trade in a similar role, either at a brewer or a wholesaler. You’ll know how free trade works and be able to hit the ground running. If you’ve sold other drinks and can show you’re ready for a full range, we’d still like to talk.
