Role Description

This part-time Sales Development Representative role is a hybrid position based in the Kingston upon Hull, England Metropolitan Area, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role focuses on identifying and qualifying new sales opportunities for Samba Catering’s pre-packed sandwich and catering services across key sectors such as education, transport, and retail.

  • Prospecting and lead generation
  • Conducting outbound calls and emails
  • Nurturing relationships with potential and existing clients

The Sales Development Representative will collaborate with the sales and operations teams to understand customer needs, prepare proposals, and support the transition of qualified leads into active accounts. The role also involves maintaining accurate records in CRM systems, monitoring market trends, and providing feedback on customer requirements to help refine sales strategies.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated skills in Inside Sales and Lead Generation, including prospecting and qualifying new business opportunities.
  • Strong Communication abilities, both verbal and written, to engage confidently with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Sales and Business Development practices, such as pipeline management and relationship building.
  • Comfort with using CRM tools and basic office software to track activities, manage data, and report on progress.
  • Customer-focused mindset with the ability to understand catering and foodservice needs and propose suitable solutions.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple prospects and tasks in a part-time hybrid environment.
  • Previous experience in foodservice, catering, or FMCG sales is beneficial but not required.
  • Ability to commute to and work within the Kingston upon Hull area while also working independently from home as needed.
