Job Role

Location: Sheffield
Working Mode: Hybrid (1-2 days in the office)
Contract: Permanent
Hours: Monday - Friday 9AM - 5PM

The Role

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at The National College, you will play a key role in driving business growth by identifying, engaging and qualifying prospective customers, generating high-quality leads for our Enterprise Sales team.

Working closely with Sales and Marketing, you will take ownership of top-of-funnel activities, proactively identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers and nurturing prospects to create a strong sales pipeline.

You will leverage your prospecting experience and sales tools to execute targeted outreach campaigns, maintain accurate CRM records and continuously identify opportunities to improve lead generation performance.

This is an exciting opportunity for a proactive, results-driven SDR to make a meaningful impact within a growing SaaS business.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Proactively identify and engage prospective customers through targeted outbound prospecting
  • Generate and qualify inbound and outbound leads through cold calling, email outreach and LinkedIn
  • Understand prospective customers' needs, challenges and pain points to identify potential business opportunities
  • Schedule qualified discovery meetings and ensure a seamless handover to the Enterprise Sales team
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records, ensuring effective lead tracking and pipeline management
  • Collaborate closely with Sales and Marketing to optimise outreach strategies, messaging and lead generation campaigns
  • Consistently achieve sales development KPIs, including outreach activity, qualified leads and meetings booked

  • Proven experience as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) within the Education or SaaS industry, with a track record of generating qualified leads and meeting targets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Strong prospecting skills, including experience in cold calling, email outreach and lead qualification
  • Excellent organisational skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Proactive, results-driven and self-motivated, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
