About The Role
We’re looking for a motivated, inquisitive Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our high-performing UK team.
This isn’t your average entry-level sales role. At Cision, our SDRs are strategic partners who research prospects, uncover business challenges, qualify opportunities, and create high-quality conversations for our Business Development Managers.
You’ll engage with PR, communications, marketing and insights professionals across some of the UK’s most influential organisations, helping them understand how technology, data and AI are changing the way organisations manage reputation, understand audiences and measure impact.
You’ll work across Cision’s evolving technology portfolio, including CisionOne and our new audience and search intelligence platform, Trajaan, giving you exposure to the rapidly developing worlds of PR, communications, data and AI.
We encourage a thoughtful, insight-led approach to prospecting, where strong research, relevant messaging and meaningful conversations are key to building successful opportunities.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a career in SaaS or B2B sales within a structured, supportive and ambitious environment, while learning about an industry undergoing significant transformation through AI and emerging technology.
Duties And Responsibilities
The role is defined, but not limited to, the following:
- Research target organisations and identify relevant PR, communications, marketing and insights professionals using tools such as ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator and Salesforce.
- Engage prospective customers across phone, email and LinkedIn, using research and personalisation to create relevant conversations.
- Build and develop relationships with prospects across different stages of the sales journey.
- Understand a prospect’s business, communications strategy, challenges and priorities.
- Qualify opportunities to understand business need, timing, priorities and potential fit with Cision’s solutions.
- Develop an understanding of the PR and communications landscape, including how AI, audience intelligence and emerging technology are changing the industry.
- Articulate the value of solutions across the CisionOne and Trajaan platforms, connecting product capabilities to real-world customer challenges.
- Book high-quality product demonstrations and collaborate closely with Business Development Managers to progress opportunities.
- Use intent data, account intelligence and prospect research to identify relevant opportunities and buying signals.
- Partner with the wider SDR team to test messaging, share learnings and continually improve outreach performance.
- Maintain accurate prospect and opportunity information within Salesforce.
- Take ownership of your development through ongoing coaching, training and feedback.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
