Talent Hiring Experts is recruiting on behalf of our client, an established UK business that is building its first dedicated outbound sales function. This is a founding role, so you will help shape the motion rather than step into one that already runs.

The Opportunity

Our client is moving from an inbound-led business to a proactive outbound sales motion. This is one of their highest-impact go-to-market hires. You will create qualified pipeline and help build the playbook that future SDRs will use. You will be given a defined ideal customer profile (ICP), initial target accounts, positioning and coaching. You will also find your own accounts, research their priorities and develop relevant reasons to engage. This role suits someone who enjoys taking ownership while the outbound system is still being built.

Responsibilities

  • Research and prioritise accounts within the ICP, using business priorities, industry developments and trigger events to identify where the business can help.
  • Map buying committees, identify decision-makers and turn research into a clear commercial point of view: why this company, why this person and why now?
  • Prospect through cold calls, concise emails and LinkedIn; handle objections, navigate gatekeepers and follow up consistently.
  • Create qualified meetings and sales-accepted opportunities, working closely with Account Executives on qualification and handover.
  • Use CRM, sequencing, enrichment and AI tools to improve research, personalisation and execution, while keeping human judgement in the process.
  • Test messaging, channels and sequences; review conversion rates, document what works and help build a repeatable outbound playbook.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Experience

  • Evidence of successful outbound prospecting: what you personally created, how you did it and what you learned. SDR/BDR experience is preferred, but strong performers from other outbound environments are welcome.
  • Commercial curiosity and resourcefulness. You can find accounts independently, understand their business and identify a credible reason to start a conversation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, confidence on the phone and the ability to earn attention from senior decision-makers.
  • Resilience, consistent execution and coachability. You seek feedback, review your calls and messages, and change your approach when the evidence supports it.
  • Comfort with sales technology, automation and your own performance data. You learn tools quickly and take responsibility for accurate CRM records.

Technology and ways of working

Salesforce and a sales engagement platform are already in place. Familiarity with sequencing, enrichment, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, conversation intelligence tools and AI-assisted research is valuable. You do not need to know every tool, but you do need to learn quickly, verify your research and automate repetitive work while keeping outreach relevant.

How success is measured

Success means qualified meetings held, sales-accepted opportunities and outbound-generated pipeline. Conversion rates, priority-account engagement, connect rates and positive responses will be tracked to improve performance. Activity matters as a leading indicator, but opportunity quality and progression towards revenue determine success.

Why join

You will work directly with the Head of Sales, receive hands-on coaching and help shape how future SDRs are hired, trained and equipped. Our client values demonstrated ability over a degree or a fixed number of years. This is a rare chance to master outbound prospecting and build a repeatable sales motion from the ground up. Competitive base and attractive commission structure as well as private healthcare included.

How to apply

Apply via LinkedIn or send your CV directly to Talent Hiring Experts. All applications are handled in confidence, and the client's name will be shared with shortlisted candidates.
