Full time in office SW19 | £28,860 | 6-month contract

Are you looking to build a career in sales and business development?

We're working with a growing media and events business specialising in the manufacturing sector, looking for a confident and driven Sales Development Representative to join its commercial team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their sales career who enjoys speaking to people, is comfortable picking up the phone and wants to develop their skills within a successful B2B environment.

The role

You'll be responsible for identifying new prospects, starting conversations and creating opportunities for the wider Business Development team. Day to day, you'll be:

  • Researching and identifying potential new clients and contacts
  • Making outbound calls and contacting prospects via email and LinkedIn
  • Qualifying leads and understanding potential opportunities
  • Booking meetings for Business Development Managers
  • Supporting lead generation campaigns and wider sales activity
  • Keeping prospect information up to date on the CRM
  • Sharing market insight and feedback with the commercial team
  • Building relationships with senior contacts across the manufacturing sector

About you

You don't need years of sales experience for this role. We're looking for someone who is confident, proactive and keen to learn. You'll ideally have some experience in a customer-facing, sales, telesales, lead generation or appointment-setting role, but attitude and potential are just as important. You'll need to be:

  • Confident speaking to new people
  • Resilient and comfortable with outbound activity
  • Organised and commercially minded
  • A good communicator
  • Target-driven and motivated to succeed
  • A team player who enjoys learning and developing

CRM experience would be useful, but full training will be provided.
