Sales Development Executive
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Sales Development Executive to join a growing, highly specialised chemical manufacturing company with a presence across the UK and Ireland. Responsible for generating new business opportunities through outbound sales activity.
This role focuses on identifying and engaging prospective customers, securing sales appointments, maintaining client relationships, and working closely with internal teams to convert enquiries into successful business opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct professional outbound telesales calls to targeted prospects and key accounts to generate leads, secure appointments, and identify new business opportunities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers to encourage repeat business and reactivate previous accounts.
- Develop a strong understanding of the company’s product range to provide relevant solutions and engage customers effectively.
- Work alongside the internal sales team to prepare accurate quotations and respond promptly to customer enquiries.
- Maintain accurate customer records, call notes, and sales activity updates using the Pipedrive CRM system.
- Monitor sales activity against targets and contribute towards continuous improvement of business development processes.

The Ideal Candidate
Would have:
- Previous experience in a telesales, lead generation, business development, or similar sales-focused role.
- A confident and professional approach when communicating with customers over the telephone.
- Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage and influence potential clients.
- A resilient and motivated attitude with the ability to handle rejection and remain focused on achieving results.
- Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple opportunities.
- Experience working with CRM systems and telephone-based sales tools.

Must have:
- Proven experience within a sales, telesales, or business development environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- A proactive approach with the drive to identify and convert new business opportunities.
- The ability to work independently while contributing positively within a team environment.
