Business Development Representative – FinTech SaaS
London
£35,000–£40,000 base | £55,000–£65,000 OTE + Benefits
Certus Recruitment is working with AlternativeSoft, an award-winning financial software business providing sophisticated investment analytics, portfolio construction, due diligence and reporting solutions to financial institutions globally.
Working with asset managers, family offices and investment firms across EMEA, APAC and the US, AlternativeSoft has built an established international client base and is now looking to add a Business Development Representative to its London sales team.
The Opportunity
This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious BDR with around 12–18 months' experience within SaaS, technology or a related B2B sales environment who wants to develop their career within a specialist FinTech business.
Working closely with the Head of Sales and senior sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and engaging prospective customers, qualifying opportunities and booking high-quality demonstrations.

You’ll be selling into senior decision-makers within asset managers, family offices and investment firms across international markets.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Researching and identifying prospective customers across EMEA, APAC and the US
- Conducting high-volume outbound prospecting via phone, email and LinkedIn
- Engaging senior decision-makers and understanding their business requirements
- Qualifying prospects and generating high-quality sales opportunities
- Booking product demonstrations for the senior sales team
- Managing prospects and activity accurately within the CRM
- Working closely with sales leadership to refine messaging and outbound strategy
- Building your knowledge of financial markets, alternative investments and FinTech
What We’re Looking For
You will have 12–18 months' experience within a BDR, SDR, business development or similar outbound sales role within SaaS, technology or another relevant B2B environment.

You’ll need to be confident picking up the phone and speaking with senior prospects, while also being comfortable using email and LinkedIn as part of a multi-channel approach.
We’re particularly interested in people who are ambitious, resilient, commercially minded and keen to develop beyond the BDR role.
Previous financial services or FinTech experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
