Company & Role

This is a newly created role with a fast-growing, cloud-native Microsoft Solutions Partner that helps its customers modernise through Microsoft Azure and the secure, governed use of AI. The business is scaling and reshaping how it sells, moving away from one-off pieces of project work towards long-term, recurring client relationships built from the very first conversation. This role has been created specifically to help build that engine.

It is a genuine build role rather than a follow-the-script one. The sales process, CRM structure, and portfolio of entry offers are all being defined right now, so you will have real influence over how outbound prospecting is done here, working closely with a highly experienced sales team.

The role carries a dual mandate. Around 60% of your time is spent on outbound, net-new prospecting against a defined Ideal Customer Profile, and around 40% supporting the wider sales team on developing opportunities sourced via their Microsoft relationship.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • A brand new, high visibility role at the centre of the company's growth plans, with a genuine seat at the table as the sales motion is built
  • Real influence over process from day one, with the sales motion, CRM, and front-door offers all being shaped this year
  • Direct access to three experienced Solutions Directors and the leadership team, rather than a seat on a large, siloed sales floor
  • An established Microsoft relationship and a strong delivery reputation to sell into, so you are not building credibility from cold
  • A clear split between outbound and account support, with time protected for both so the outbound focus is not swallowed by admin

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and engage net new prospects against the Ideal Customer Profile through a mix of outbound calling, email, and LinkedIn outreach
  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads against agreed criteria before handing off to the relevant Solutions Director
  • Build and manage your own pipeline of qualified opportunities through to a booked meeting or clean handoff
  • Support an aligned Solutions Director on Microsoft-sourced SME&C accounts, managing scheduling, lead routing, and follow-up cadences
  • Keep opportunity data accurate and current in the CRM so nothing is lost to poor follow-up
  • Work the dormant and lapsed client list as a warm outbound channel once fully ramped
  • Report weekly against your KPIs and work closely with the Solutions Directors to hand off opportunities cleanly, with the right context

Ideal Experience

  • One to three years or more in an SDR, BDR, or outbound sales role, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem, cloud, or IT services, or a Managed Service Provider
  • A track record of consistent outbound pipeline generation against target, in a role where prospecting was a core, measured part of the job
  • Enough technical fluency to hold a credible first conversation about Azure-based professional and managed services, with full product training provided
  • Practical CRM experience for managing pipeline, activity, and forecasting, Dynamics 365 is a plus but not essential
  • A confident, resilient self-starter who can prioritise across a genuine dual mandate without close supervision
  • Comfortable in a small, fast-scaling team where process is still being built, and happy to help shape it
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, comfortable with both technical and commercial stakeholders

If you are an outbound sales professional who wants to help build a prospecting motion rather than just run one, and you like the idea of selling Azure and AI-led services into an ambitious, growing partner, this is well worth a look.
