Sales Development Representative (SDR) – up to £30K base + commission (dependent on experience) – Newcastle-Upon-Tyne (hybrid)

We are looking for an ambitious SDR looking to take on a new challenge and more responsibility within a newly formed revenue team. The Sales Development Representative is responsible for creating qualified sales opportunities through disciplined outbound prospecting, consistent call activity, high-quality engagement with target accounts, proposal support, quote production and booking demos for the training team to deliver.

For the first six months, the role will focus on working through targeted call lists, testing outreach messaging, enriching the CRM, improving data quality and helping shape a repeatable outbound strategy alongside the Head of Revenue and Marketing team.

The longer-term purpose of the role is to help modernise and mature the revenue function by establishing outbound best practice, improving systems and processes, and becoming capable of supporting the recruitment, onboarding and day-to-day management of an additional SDR hire.

Key responsibilities:

  • Outbound Prospecting
    • Work through targeted outbound call lists with pace, discipline and a clear focus on generating qualified conversations.
    • Consistently meet agreed daily, weekly and monthly call targets while maintaining quality and professionalism.
    • Research target accounts and contacts to personalise outreach and improve connect-to-conversation conversion.
    • Qualify prospects using agreed criteria, book high-quality next steps for the appropriate sales owner, and arrange product or training demos for the training team to deliver where appropriate.
    • Capture objections, customer language and market feedback to help refine messaging, segmentation and campaign performance.
    • Support proposal building and accurate quote production by gathering prospect requirements, confirming relevant details and ensuring information is handed over clearly.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
