I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

It’s not a pure high-volume cold-calling role: marketing is generating warm and hot leads, which the SDR will follow up and convert into qualified meetings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Call and engage estate agents
- Follow up warm leads from marketing, events, and webinars
- Conduct outbound prospecting via phone, email, and LinkedIn
- Build relationships and create initial interest
- Qualify prospects and book qualified meetings
- Develop towards an eventual AE/full sales role
The target is approximately 30–40 qualified meetings per month. SDRs have around 250–400 warm leads per month, with additional cold data available. Warm-lead conversion is expected to be around 30%.
Ideal Background
Experience:
- Around 1 year of sales/SDR experience
- Doesn't need to come from software/tech sales
- Estate agency/property experience is highly relevant also
- Could suit someone moving from traditional estate agency into PropTech/managed services
- Graduates could work if they can demonstrate strong communication, drive, and ability to learn quickly.
