About Us

We're HardHats, and we keep construction companies out of trouble over their subbies. We've built the software that runs subbie compliance properly. Onboarding and verification, employment status decided and evidenced, CIS deductions and statements, and a full audit trail sitting behind the lot. One place where every subbie onsite is set up right and stays that way. Here's the bit nobody else can say. We back it up with the industry's only employment status guarantee. So it isn't software that tells you you're probably alright. It's software that gets you compliant, with a guarantee standing behind it if HMRC ever come knocking. Most of the market is payroll and umbrella companies selling contractors a sense of protection they haven't actually got. We're the no-nonsense solution for subbie compliance in construction.

Why Join Us?

Because it's a much easier phone call to make when the thing you're ringing about is real. You'll be talking to construction business owners who are running their subbie paperwork out of a filing cabinet, a shared inbox and somebody's memory. Most of them know it. Most of them have also been told for years, usually by someone in a suit on commission, that it's all handled. Your job is to cut through that and get them in front of our sales team. We're based at Port Solent, just off the M27, with free parking on site.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The Job

You'll be the first voice a prospect hears. Ringing construction business owners from an agreed target list, getting past the noise, and booking meetings for our sales team with the right people.

Your Mission

  • Proactively contact prospect construction companies by phone.
  • Follow up properly on email and LinkedIn.
  • Book qualified meetings with genuine decision-makers.
  • Know the product well enough to say what it does in thirty seconds, without a demo and without jargon.
  • Research prospects before you dial, so it sounds like a conversation rather than a script.
  • Execute the daily tasks set out in our CRM, and keep your records straight as you go.
  • Hit weekly and monthly KPIs.
  • Work closely with the Head of Sales, who you'll report to, on call reviews and coaching.

What You Bring to the Table

  • Outbound experience. This one isn't negotiable.
  • You're competitive and you've got the numbers to back it up.
  • Resilience.
  • You take coaching well, because the people who get good at this fastest are the ones who listen back to their own calls without getting the hump.
  • Straight talking - our clients are builders and they can hear a script coming a mile off.
  • Comfortable selling software without turning into a techie. You don't need to know the product inside out on day one, but you do need to get your head round what it fixes and why that matters to a bloke with forty subbies and no system.
  • Tech-savvy and organised.
  • Evidence of competitive drive somewhere outside work is a good sign.
