Sales Development Representative (SDR) – UK

Reference: BH-410c
Job Type: Freelance
Location: Remote (UK)

About ByteHire

ByteHire is a specialist technology recruitment business helping companies hire high-quality technical talent across the UK, US and international markets.
We take a technical-first approach, combining specialist recruitment with structured screening and engineering-led technical validation to give clients greater confidence in the candidates they interview.
We are looking for a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to help grow our UK client base by identifying potential customers, starting conversations and generating qualified sales opportunities.

About the Role

This is an outbound sales development role focused on prospecting and lead generation.
Your primary responsibility will be identifying technology companies with recruitment needs, finding the right decision-makers and engaging them through phone, email and LinkedIn.
You will research prospects, run targeted outreach campaigns, follow up consistently and qualify potential opportunities before progressing interested companies through ByteHire's sales process.
You do not need to be an experienced recruiter. We are primarily looking for someone who is confident speaking to businesses, comfortable with outbound prospecting and motivated by generating new opportunities.
You will be supported by ByteHire's sales, recruitment, sourcing and technical teams, giving you a strong service to take to market.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is proactive, confident and comfortable creating opportunities from a cold start.
You should enjoy researching companies, finding the right people to approach and starting conversations with people who may not already know ByteHire.
You will need to be comfortable with rejection, persistent with follow-ups and motivated by targets around outreach, conversations, qualified opportunities and meetings booked.
Most importantly, you should be able to communicate naturally and professionally without relying on generic, high-volume sales messaging.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
