Who We Are?
Furthr is a leading sustainability consultancy and tech platform committed to helping businesses reduce their environmental impact and transition to more sustainable practices. We specialise in providing comprehensive solutions for measuring and managing carbon footprints, aligning with international standards such as the Greenhouse Gas Protocol, as well as decarbonisation plans for forward-looking teams.
Since our inception, we've driven significant decarbonisation efforts globally, funded extensive reforestation and climate-impact projects, and facilitated the removal of hundreds of thousands of tons of carbon from the atmosphere. With hundreds of active business clients and growing international reach, our impact is expanding daily.
The Opportunity
Furthr is looking for a Sales Development Representative to open conversations with businesses at every stage of their sustainability journey, whether they’re just beginning to measure their impact, already measuring and ready to reduce, or further along and looking to embed climate action more deeply. This is an outbound role focused on starting those conversations and helping organisations take meaningful next steps.
What We Want?
This is the first line of communication on climate for many of our clients, the beginning of long-lasting and meaningful client relationships based on expert advice and no-nonsense support that will deliver positive change to our planet. You will initially be responsible for opening doors, for starting the dialogue and for setting high-quality appointments for our Head of Sales.
Your Role
As the first point of contact on climate solutions for many clients, you’ll forge lasting, impactful relationships based on expert guidance and straightforward support. Your initial focus will be on outreach—opening doors, initiating dialogue, and setting high-quality appointments for our Head of Sales. You’ll play a crucial role in achieving Furthr’s growth aspirations with the potential for a lasting impact on our industry. As you build experience, there’s room to take on more of the qualification and early-stage conversation yourself, with a path toward a closing role.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cold call and email prospective clients daily: this is your primary lead-generation channel and is key to success in this role
- Research and build outbound prospect lists (e.g. via LinkedIn, Cognism, Apollo, Claude)
- Qualify outbound and inbound leads, and schedule high-quality introductory meetings for the Head of Sales
- Follow up persistently and systematically: most prospects take several attempts to reach, so structured multi-touch follow-up matters more than one-and-done calls
- Keep HubSpot fully up to date: activity, opportunities, and account information
- Consistently hit your monthly quota of qualified opportunities
- Feed what you learn on calls back into messaging and campaigns alongside marketing
We’re Looking For:
- Comfortable with high-volume outbound calling: genuinely resilient to the challenges of this type of work
- Strong verbal and written communication: able to open a cold call confidently and explain what Furthr does in plain English
- Curiosity about sustainability and climate: whilst no environmental science background is required, what matters is genuine interest
- Some experience in a sales, client-facing, or target-driven environment: CRM experience (e.g. HubSpot) is a bonus
- Organised and self-motivated: comfortable managing your own pipeline and follow-ups
- Coachable: you’ll get live call feedback and roleplay practice, and should be someone who wants the opportunity to develop your sales skills
- Genuine attention to detail: client-facing writing and CRM records that are clean and error-free
- Comfortable juggling multiple accounts and deadlines without things slipping
