Sales Development Representatives (Permanent, Full Time)
Ready to take the next step in your sales career?
We're looking for a motivated and ambitious Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our Enterprise Business Sales team at KCOM.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with some previous sales experience, ideally within telecommunications or a related industry, who is looking to develop their career in a fast-paced B2B sales environment.
As an SDR, you'll be the first point of contact for prospective customers, identifying new business opportunities, building relationships, and creating qualified sales opportunities for the wider Enterprise Sales team. You'll play a key role in helping KCOM grow our business customer base while developing your own commercial skills and sales expertise.

Salary: £25,662 per annum (fixed) plus £10,000 OTC
Location: Carr Lane, Hull, with hybrid working (minimum 3 office days per week)

Key Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify new business opportunities through proactive outbound activity, including telephone calls, emails, and LinkedIn engagement.
- Generate interest in KCOM's products and services across small, medium, and enterprise-level organisations.
- Build strong relationships with prospective customers and understand their business needs.
- Arrange qualified meetings and sales opportunities for the wider Enterprise Sales team.
- Work closely with the marketing team to follow up on campaigns and support lead-generation activities and local events.
- Maintain accurate customer and prospect records within the CRM system.
- Collaborate with colleagues across the business to deliver an excellent customer experience.
- Monitor activity and performance metrics, contributing to reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Take ownership of your personal development and continually enhance your sales capability.

Candidate Requirements
We're looking for someone with the drive, resilience, and ambition to succeed in a sales environment.
You'll Ideally Have
- Previous experience in a sales, customer-facing, business development, or lead generation role.
- Exposure to the telecommunications, technology, or connectivity sector would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Confidence engaging with customers by phone, email, and online channels.
- A positive and proactive approach to achieving targets.
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
- A genuine desire to build a long-term career in sales.
