Reporting to: SDR Team Manager

Programme Duration: 3 Years

Application Closing Date: 14 August 2026

An apprenticeship at Dow Jones doesn’t just build a rewarding career—you can also gain a full university degree while doing it.

We are looking for an ambitious, curious, and motivated individual to join our team as a Sales Development Representative (SDR) Degree Apprentice. Over this three-year programme, you won't just learn about the business world—you will be an active part of it. You’ll combine hands-on experience working alongside industry experts with academic study towards a Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship, earning your degree without the student debt, while developing the skills to set you up for long-term commercial success.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working alongside experienced sales professionals, you’ll learn how to spot new business opportunities, engage prospective clients, and help grow Dow Jones' Professional Information Business.

Throughout the programme, you will combine academic study with hands-on experience by applying your Level 6 Degree Apprenticeship learning directly to real-world business challenges. Working alongside Sales Executives, Account Managers, Product Specialists, and Marketing teams, you’ll learn to research industries, engage key decision-makers via phone, email, and LinkedIn, and manage sales pipelines using tools like Salesforce CRM. Supported by structured coaching and mentoring, you'll continuously build your skills, run targeted campaigns, and take on increasing responsibility to drive business growth.

What We’re Looking For

We don't expect you to have previous sales experience! We are looking for potential, passion, and a genuine eagerness to learn.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
