Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Regulated Sector
Remote / Regular Belfast travel | £40,000–£45,000 + £10,000 OTE | Permanent
SR2 is partnering with a fast-growing technology business that helps organisations operating in highly regulated environments solve complex business challenges through innovative technology.
Following significant growth – from just four employees to more than forty in three years – they're looking for an ambitious Sales Development Representative to join their collaborative commercial team and help drive further expansion across the regulated sector.
This isn't your traditional high-pressure, volume-led SDR position.
You'll become an expert in the company's technology and the challenges facing organisations across regulated industries, building relationships with prospective customers, understanding their priorities and identifying where the business can add genuine value.
They're looking for someone bubbly, energetic and naturally engaging – someone who can pick up the phone, quickly build rapport and really grip a prospect during a conversation.
You'll be responsible for:
- Speaking with prospective customers via telephone, email and LinkedIn.
- Building relationships with organisations operating across regulated markets.
- Qualifying inbound enquiries and identifying genuine commercial opportunities.
- Building targeted outbound campaigns into strategic accounts.
- Researching organisations and identifying relevant decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Booking qualified meetings for the Business Development team.
- Understanding customer challenges around areas such as regulation, compliance, governance, security and operational risk.
- Keeping HubSpot updated with accurate prospect and customer information.
- Working closely with Marketing on targeted campaigns.
- Developing a strong understanding of the regulated technology landscape.
- Helping improve messaging, outreach strategies and campaign ideas.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
