Sales Development Representative / Account Manager – Cloud Services

Salary: £35,000 + Benefits

Location: Fully Remote – UK

Working Week: 4 Days – Monday to Thursday

We are looking for a commercially driven Sales Development Representative / Account Manager to join a growing technology business, focused on developing new customer relationships and driving revenue across cloud services and solutions.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working within or alongside a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Partner, with a strong understanding of the GCP partner ecosystem and how cloud services are sold to customers.

GCP experience is strongly preferred, although candidates coming from an AWS or Microsoft Azure Partner environment will also be considered.

The Role

You will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, building relationships with prospective customers and growing accounts across the cloud technology market.

This is a commercially focused role combining new business development, account management and cloud solution sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities across target accounts and sectors
  • Build and manage a strong pipeline of qualified cloud opportunities
  • Prospect through LinkedIn, email, telephone, events and wider networking channels
  • Engage with senior stakeholders including CTOs, CIOs, Heads of Cloud, Engineering and Technology leaders
  • Understand customer challenges and identify opportunities for GCP and wider cloud solutions
  • Develop and grow relationships with new and existing customers
  • Work closely with cloud architects, engineers and delivery teams to develop customer solutions and proposals
  • Manage opportunities throughout the sales cycle
  • Support commercial negotiations and account growth
  • Build relationships across the Google Cloud partner ecosystem
  • Work collaboratively with GCP partner and alliance teams to identify and develop opportunities
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasting and CRM information

Experience We're Looking For

Preferred

  • Previous experience working for or alongside a GCP Partner
  • Experience selling Google Cloud Platform services or solutions
  • Understanding of the Google Cloud partner ecosystem and partner-led sales
  • Existing relationships or experience engaging with Google Cloud sales, partner or alliance teams

would be advantageous

  • Experience selling cloud consulting, professional services, managed services or transformation programmes
  • Proven experience generating and developing new business opportunities

Also Considered

Candidates with similar experience within an AWS or Microsoft Azure Partner environment are also of interest.

The Person

We're looking for someone who is commercially ambitious, proactive and comfortable developing new relationships from scratch.

You don't need to be a cloud engineer, but you should have enough understanding of cloud technology to engage credibly with technical and commercial decision-makers.

Experience within the GCP Partner ecosystem would be particularly valuable, especially if you understand how partners work with Google to generate opportunities, develop accounts and deliver cloud transformation services.

This would suit someone currently working as an:
