Sales Development Representative (SDR) – AI & Automation

£35,000 basic + c.£8,000 bonus | Hybrid

If you’re building a career in B2B sales and want exposure to complex enterprise selling rather than simply high-volume transactional sales, this could be a really interesting next step.

Experis is partnered with a growing technology and consulting business that is investing in its sales team following a strong period of performance.

You’ll be joining a business with established enterprise customers, strong case studies, a performing Account Executive team and a proposition centred around AI, automation, and business transformation.

For the right person, that means:

  • Exposure to AI and automation, without needing to be technical
  • Learning how complex enterprise deals are created from the very beginning
  • Speaking with senior decision-makers across some of the UK’s leading organisations
  • Working closely with experienced Account Executives
  • Regular coaching and development
  • A genuine route to build a longer-term career in technology sales

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The role

As an SDR, you’ll be responsible for identifying and creating new business opportunities for the Account Executive team.

You’ll research target organisations, identify the right stakeholders, and use a combination of calls, email, and social selling to start relevant commercial conversations.

This isn’t about blindly working through huge call lists.

The strongest SDRs will be curious about the organisations they’re approaching, understanding what they’re trying to achieve, identifying potential business problems, and creating a credible reason for senior stakeholders to engage.

You’ll also work alongside Sales and Marketing on targeted campaigns and help qualify inbound opportunities as the marketing function continues to grow.

Who are we looking for?

You’re likely to have some experience within sales, business development, or a customer-facing commercial role, ideally within technology, software, or professional services, although attitude and potential are equally important.

You’ll need to be:

  • Confident picking up the phone and opening new conversations
  • Commercially curious and interested in how businesses operate
  • Resilient and comfortable working towards targets
  • Confident communicating with senior stakeholders
  • Coachable and keen to improve
  • Ambitious about developing a career in B2B sales

Previous SDR or BDR experience would be useful, but we’re equally interested in people with the right drive, communication skills, and commercial mindset.

Apply now if you're looking for more than just another outbound sales role and want to learn how enterprise technology solutions are actually sold.
