About the Role
Xperience is looking for a Sales Development Representative to create new conversations and qualified sales opportunities across Managed IT, Cyber Security, Data and AI. This is a remote new business role focused on researching target accounts, engaging decision-makers and converting prospect interest into qualified meetings for the sales team.
You will use phone, email, LinkedIn, campaigns, events, webinars and partner activity to build relationships with prospects, promote Xperience events, secure attendance and follow up engagement to create meetings and pipeline.
Essential Criteria
- Experience in sales development, business development, lead generation or telesales.
- Confidence making outbound calls to contacts with no existing Xperience relationship.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain business value clearly.
- Organised and self-motivated, with the discipline to manage a remote workload and maintain consistent activity.
- Resilient, comfortable handling objections and willing to learn from feedback.
- Competent using Microsoft 365, CRM systems and LinkedIn or comparable prospecting tools.
- Ability and willingness to travel to Xperience offices, customer meetings and events when required.
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).

Desirable Criteria
- Experience in IT services, managed services, Cyber Security, SaaS, Data or AI markets.
- Experience promoting events, webinars or executive briefings and converting attendance into sales activity.
- Experience using ConnectWise, Dynamics 365 or a sales engagement platform.
- Knowledge of Microsoft cloud, security, data or AI solutions.
New Business Prospecting
- Research and identify target organisations, relevant contacts and market triggers across agreed sectors and territories.
- Run consistent outbound prospecting through phone, email, LinkedIn and other agreed channels.
- Engage business and technology decision-makers, including Managing Directors, Finance Directors, CIOs, IT Directors and Heads of IT.
- Create interest in Xperience services across Managed IT, Cyber Security, Data and AI.
- Book qualified discovery meetings for Sales Directors and relevant solution specialists.
Events & Campaigns
- Proactively invite customers and prospects to Xperience events, webinars, roundtables and briefings.
- Own agreed event registration and attendance targets, with structured outreach before each event.
- Follow up attendees and non-attendees promptly to secure meetings and identify qualified opportunities.
- Work with Marketing and Sales to build event target lists and improve campaign conversion.
Qualification & Pipeline
- Qualify prospects against agreed criteria, including business need, current position, stakeholders, timing and potential value.
- Identify requirements across managed IT, cloud, Cyber Security, data, analytics and AI adoption.
- Convert prospect engagement into clearly defined, qualified sales opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records of contacts, activity, meetings, event engagement and opportunities in ConnectWise, Dynamics 365 or other agreed systems.
- Provide clear reporting on activity, conversion, meetings, events and pipeline contribution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales Directors & the Marketing team to run campaigns.
- Support lead follow-up from marketing, partners, referrals, events and website enquiries.
- Share prospect feedback, competitor insight and common objections to improve messaging and campaigns.
- Contribute to team planning, call reviews, training and continuous improvement activity.
Key Deliverables
- Qualified meetings booked and attended, and qualified opportunities created.
- Pipeline value generated, and event registrations secured.
- Outbound activity and conversion performance against agreed targets, with accurate CRM data & opportunity handover.
