About Able Skills
Able Skills is one of the UK’s leading construction training providers, helping thousands of individuals each year gain the practical skills and qualifications needed to build successful careers in the trades. From plumbing and electrical training to carpentry, gas, plastering and property maintenance courses, we provide hands-on training delivered by experienced industry professionals. Our mission is to bridge the skills gap within the construction industry by equipping learners with the knowledge, confidence and opportunities they need to succeed.
The Role
We are looking for an ambitious and driven sales development representative to join our growing team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in growing our business. It could be your first graduate role post university but we are looking for a hungry, determined team player.
You will be responsible for growing both our B2C offering and our B2B offering. This will involve answering the phone to inbound requests, showing students and companies around the Site, targeting prospects and doing outbound emails and calls to try and help us to continue to grow through growing new business opportunities with construction companies, housebuilders, developers and other industry employers who are looking to hire skilled tradespeople.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
