Role Summary

We're looking for ambitious graduates and early-career professionals with a Life Sciences background to join PatSnap as a Sales Development Representative (SDR).

This is an opportunity to take your scientific knowledge beyond the lab and apply it in a commercial role, partnering with some of the world's most innovative pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device organisations.

As an SDR, you'll be the first point of contact for prospective customers, introducing PatSnap's AI-powered Life Sciences platform and helping organisations discover smarter ways to accelerate research, reduce R&D risk and bring breakthrough innovations to market faster.

No previous sales experience? That's absolutely fine.

We'll teach you everything you need to become a successful technology salesperson. You'll receive structured onboarding, ongoing coaching, and mentorship from experienced sales leaders, developing the skills to build relationships with senior scientific and R&D leaders.

This is an exciting opportunity to launch your career in SaaS sales. You'll develop the skills, confidence, and commercial experience needed to build a successful career in technology sales, working alongside experienced Account Executives, sales leaders, and marketers who are invested in your success. This is a high-activity, target-driven sales role where success comes down to your drive, resilience, and hunger to win. If you bring the work ethic and mindset, the progression and earning potential are there to match.

This is a hybrid role based in our London office, with the flexibility to work either hybrid (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday in the office) or fully office-based if you prefer.

Who Are We?

PatSnap is a global, Series E, unicorn SaaS platform that transforms the way organizations harness their Intellectual Property and Research & Development productivity. Our user-friendly platform revolutionizes how IP and R&D teams collaborate across the entire innovation lifecycle — using industry-leading, domain-specific AI to generate and validate ideas and bring innovative products to market faster, better, and cheaper. More than 12,000 R&D and IP teams worldwide use and trust PatSnap to innovate and commercialize new products.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
