Role: Sales Development Representative
As a Sales Development Representative at AppZen, you will be responsible for identifying, researching, and engaging with businesses and typically their finance decision-makers.
Through intelligent identification and discovery, you will need to understand prospect business challenges and identify alignment in how AppZen's AI solutions can be of benefit. You will be responsible for booking meetings, which will be jointly held with Account Executives to dive deeper into AppZen, enabling further qualification to build pipeline.

We are looking for someone hungry to succeed, with a strong work ethic, resilience and boundless energy. You’ll be highly coachable and able to apply learnings from daily coaching in your role, developing new skills and improving every day as a sales professional.
This role will involve cold calling, mass and personalized emails, voice notes, videos, and LinkedIn outreach. Frequent rejection is inevitable, and we need someone who never lets a no affect them negatively, and will always dust themselves off and keep going.
You’ll be someone who sees everything as a learning opportunity. Naturally, you’ll be a highly motivated self-starter, a brilliant communicator and highly organized in the role.
Preferable Skills
- Coachable, highly motivated and competitive self-starter
- 1-2 years of previous experience in sales (SaaS, recruitment, client facing)
- Professional fluency in German and English required
- Track record of hitting and exceeding goals
- Proficiency with cold calling, LinkedIn, personalized emails, and other sales development techniques
- Ability to work in a demanding, time-sensitive, fast-paced and evolving environment
- Excellent communication skills and a positive outlook to rejection
- Passionate about AI, technology, finance, and driving results
What Success Looks Like
- Month 1: 4-week structured onboarding that helps you learn the market, the personas, the tools, and the problems that AppZen helps solve; start reaching out to prospects if ready by the end of the month
- Month 2: On a half quota (2 demo meetings), put your training into practice to figure out how to break into your accounts
- Month 3: On a full quota (4 demo meetings), your process is up and you are generating pipeline and booking meetings

Salary
£40,000 - £45,000 base plus £25,000 uncapped commission for an Total On Target Earnings of £70,000
Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor. The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans.
